Een liefdadigheidstour voor weeskinderen
Trudy en Dirk Regter uit Nederland maken een wereldreis in een T-Ford uit 1915. Een reis die alle continenten van de wereld bestrijkt. Zij maken deze reis met als doel geld in te zamelen voor weeskinderen wereldwijd. Tot op heden hebben ze ruim 100.000 kilometer gereden door 31 landen en hebben ze meer dan €45.000 opgehaald voor kinderprojecten in Colombia en Bolivia. Een eerdere reis van Dirk in 2007 van Beijing naar Parijs in de T-Ford heeft ruim €135.000 opgebracht, waarvan 2 kinderprojecten in Mongolië zijn gebouwd. Het laatste deel van hun wereldreis van ca. 17.000 kilometer, voert ze via Azië terug naar Nederland. Als u het doel van deze reis ondersteunt, kunt u eigenaar worden van enkele van de 17.000 kilometers van deze laatste etappe. Koop uw kilometers en draag zo een steentje bij aan een betere toekomst voor weeskinderen.

A few days ago I received a request in “PREWAR CAR” for contacts, assistance, etc for the coming Model T tour though South America.
I immediately sent an email to Dirk Regter but have so far received no reply.
I would much appreciate Mr Reg.
For your better guidance repeting here text sent that day:
“I have received a circular message from Pre War Car, as I am subscribed to it. I have learnt from there that there will a Model T Ford tour starting already in ten days in South America.
I am located in Valparaiso, Chile and we have a club locally that caters to anyone with a soft spot for older cars (call them antiques, classics, whatever).
As a member of the club I have just suggested our the board that we should try to assit you during your visit through our area (supposing you will actually come this way…). I naturally immediately got the “okay” to contact you and offer any help that could be within our reach.
Also, we have our club house at one part of town, where you could let the old Ts rest, fix them, etc.
We have only recently installed ourselves there, so do not have all the comforts yet, but we do have space, enthusiasm and some facilities.
First of all, I would ask to give me your projected program, so we can have an idea of the timing and areas to be visited. Any additional and pertinent information would also be helpful.”
