{"id":10548,"date":"2018-07-05T10:32:28","date_gmt":"2018-07-05T10:32:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tfordworldtour.org\/?p=10548"},"modified":"2018-07-10T10:40:08","modified_gmt":"2018-07-10T10:40:08","slug":"stickadiles-rockadiles-and-finally-crocodiles","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tfordworldtour.org\/nl\/stickadiles-rockadiles-and-finally-crocodiles\/","title":{"rendered":"Stickadiles, Rockadiles and finally Crocodiles"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Verslag 5 juli<br \/>\n<\/strong>Door Benno en Thecla<\/p>\n<p>We hebben bij DainTree village geslapen op de camping en besluiten \u2018s ochtends met een boottour mee te gaan om mogelijk krokodillen te kunnen zien vanaf de boot. Dirk kijkt liever de T-Ford na, na de Bloomfield track, die ok\u00e9 blijkt te zijn. Tijdens deze tocht zien we verschillende krokodillen, ijsvogel en soorten aalscholvers en horen we veel wetenswaardigheden. Krokodillen vergelijken ze met zonnecollectoren, ze hebben de zon nodig voor hun energie. De weelderige begroeiing van het regenwoud vanaf het water is buitengewoon imponerend. De rivier is breed en groot en we zien ook veel wortels van mangrovebossen, aangezien het dicht bij zee ligt, en dus voor enig zoutwater zorgt.<\/p>\n<p>Daarna rijden we naar de kust, waar veel meer verkeer is, maar ook weer stukken van regenwoud staan die behoren tot UNESCO worldheritage. Regelmatig krijgen we vanaf de weg prachtig uitzicht op parelwitte palmstranden, met in de rug het regenwoud. We besluiten toch een nacht aan het strand te gaan kamperen en wel op Ellis Beach, waar we op het strand een prachtige plek cre\u00ebren onder de palmbomen. S \u00e1vonds krijgen we bezoek van een gestreepte vogel die op stelten lijkt te lopen en het geluid maakt alsof er iemand vermoord wordt. De Australi\u00ebrs merken op dat deze vogels iedere avond deze plek aan doen. En met deze geruststellende gedachte gaan we slapen.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tfordworldtour.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/07\/IMG_4969-Medium.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone
