Hier arriveren we laat in de ochtend en kunnen nog een tour boeken.<\/p>\n<p>We lunchen even en dan gaan we op pad. De ranger geeft een indrukwekkende uitleg over de vorming van deze kilometerslange ondergrondse tunnels, ontstaan met vulkaanuitbarstingen. &nbsp;Helaas is de langste van 126 kilometer niet meer intact, maar zijn er een aantal instortingen geweest. De instortingen kun je herkennen in het landschap door kleine plukjes van regenwoud die her en der in het landschap, tussen de gewone vegetatie zijn ontstaan.<\/p>\n<p>Tegen het donker belanden we bij een roadjunction op het achtererf van het roadhouse. Hier bulkt het van de vogels die zich nog een laatste kreet voor slapen gaan laten gelden.<\/p>\n<p><a
