A charity tour for orphan children

Trudy and Dirk Regter from the Netherlands go on a world tour in a 1915 Ford Model T, covering all continents of the world. They are making this trip with the aim of raising money for orphans worldwide.

To date, they have driven 64,000 miles across 31 countries and have raised more than $45,000 spent on children's projects in Colombia and Bolivia. An earlier trip by Dirk in 2007 from Beijing to Paris in the Model T raised more than $140,000, of which 2 children's projects were built in Mongolia. The last part of their world tour, about 10,500 miles, takes them back home to the Netherlands via Asia. If you support the purpose of this journey, you can take ownership of some of these 10,500 miles of this final leg.

Buy your miles and thus contribute to a better future for orphans.

Next morning when we wake up we saw that it was a good decision to leave the tent last night. The river near the tent was still growing.

The owner of the campsite gave us the advice to bring the tent to a higher place.
People from the campsite helped us with removing the tent to a dryer place up the hill.

After rebuilding the tent we dried our clothes in a dryer and after 30 minutes everything was dry and warm.
We decided to rent a cabin for the next two nights to be sure we would have a dry night rest.

Bill and Pat Sherrill picked us up from the camp site to go to the second auction evening of RM Auctions.
The auction was the same happening as the last evening.
The auctioneer was very busy to sell every car for the highest price.

After the auction Bill and Pat invited us for a nice dinner.

After the auction it was still raining dogs and cats.
Back at the camping ground there was a lot of water and a water fall beside our tent was so heavy that we decide to spend the night in a warm and dry laundry room.

We are ready to leave the campsite for our trip to Hershey and a neighbor on the campsite warned us for a coming tornado on our route to Hershey. It was to risky for us to drive this day and we decided to stay on the campsite. We packet everything save in the cars and we put the cars tied down together on an open place.

We stayed the hole day in the game room on the campsite with the picnic bins the playing cards and the laptop. The television stands by, while the heavy rain and storm blows over the campsite.

At night we rent a cabin and we had a very nice dinner in a restaurant to celebrate the good end of the day.
