A charity tour for orphan children

Trudy and Dirk Regter from the Netherlands go on a world tour in a 1915 Ford Model T, covering all continents of the world. They are making this trip with the aim of raising money for orphans worldwide.

To date, they have driven 64,000 miles across 31 countries and have raised more than $45,000 spent on children's projects in Colombia and Bolivia. An earlier trip by Dirk in 2007 from Beijing to Paris in the Model T raised more than $140,000, of which 2 children's projects were built in Mongolia. The last part of their world tour, about 10,500 miles, takes them back home to the Netherlands via Asia. If you support the purpose of this journey, you can take ownership of some of these 10,500 miles of this final leg.

    Inebolu – sea near Zonguldak

    By Arnaud and Roos

The boys start with a dip in the pool and I have a four-legged friend today.

Today a short drive to the coastal town where we will meet Willy and family.

They often have cardboard police here 😊

Willy, Michiel, Wouter and Silvia will take over the keys to the Land-Rover on August 5 . They will ride as a follow-up team until Split in Croatia. After our last hairpin bends and climbs where even the Land Rover has to shift back to first gear!!! we arrive at a campsite by the sea where they also have bungalows. Because when there are 10 of us, we won’t fit in a tent anymore.

A wonderful holiday afternoon with a bit of swimming, reading and doing the laundry. Dirk also has to do some tinkering with the T-Ford, including replacing the right steering knuckle pin. And replacing the right front tire of the Land-Rover because there is a screw in it.
