A charity tour for orphan children

Trudy and Dirk Regter from the Netherlands go on a world tour in a 1915 Ford Model T, covering all continents of the world. They are making this trip with the aim of raising money for orphans worldwide.

To date, they have driven 64,000 miles across 31 countries and have raised more than $45,000 spent on children's projects in Colombia and Bolivia. An earlier trip by Dirk in 2007 from Beijing to Paris in the Model T raised more than $140,000, of which 2 children's projects were built in Mongolia. The last part of their world tour, about 10,500 miles, takes them back home to the Netherlands via Asia. If you support the purpose of this journey, you can take ownership of some of these 10,500 miles of this final leg.

Jennifer has a beautiful garden with many roses, also a lot of animals around the house: donkeys, pigs, dogs, goats and chickens.

There is also a Porsche cabriolet from 1967. When the weather is nice she rides with it

At 9.45 we leave in the direction of Port Alfred, after a tankstop Dirk and Dirk-jan leave first, so Inge can go full throttle with the LandRover, she likes that!

The hills are very steep again, with signs they advice trucks to go in low gear, with the model T we do the same.

When we start again after a short stop, the camera falls of the car. When we go back we find all the parts; battery and SD card. Trudy makes a little dance.

The wheel of a big truck throws a stone at the window. It gives a big bang!

In Port Alfred we search for a campsite following the signs, but suddenly the road stops..

    no road

In the end we arrive at the campsite, but the owner tells us that it is closed.

This is because of very heavy rainfall. 600mm in one week, the campsite is flushed away.

He tells us the way to another site.

    At 18.00 we arrive there.

    We drove 258km.

Tomorrow we go to Francis bay.
