A charity tour for orphan children

Trudy and Dirk Regter from the Netherlands go on a world tour in a 1915 Ford Model T, covering all continents of the world. They are making this trip with the aim of raising money for orphans worldwide.

To date, they have driven 64,000 miles across 31 countries and have raised more than $45,000 spent on children's projects in Colombia and Bolivia. An earlier trip by Dirk in 2007 from Beijing to Paris in the Model T raised more than $140,000, of which 2 children's projects were built in Mongolia. The last part of their world tour, about 10,500 miles, takes them back home to the Netherlands via Asia. If you support the purpose of this journey, you can take ownership of some of these 10,500 miles of this final leg.

    Tuesday June 25th

Today we’re going to the strip.

First we’re going to the Harley shop just around the corner. There are very special classic racing bikes and a lot of Harley’s. Let’s try one.

Dirk and Frank give us a ride to the strip. Of course we first have to take a picture at the welcome sign.

We cruise with the model T over the strip. How bizar is this!

They drop us at Ceasars Palace a very very big casino and hotel were they copied the streets of Rome inside.

We had a lunch and gambled at the roulette table and the fruit machines.

In the meanwhile it became dark at the strip. Now we see the strip by night and hear the sound of Celine Dion. It’s time to take a taxi now.

Tomorrow we’re going to make our first road trip in the USA.
